2013 is a reorganizing year for the Michigan Breastfeeding Network and awards will not be made. We look forward to announcing plans for a breastfeeding support recognition program in the future. The recipients of the 2012 BF Network Awards are: Business/Employer: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Transportation and Air Quality/National Vehicle Fuel Emissions Laboratory in Ann Arbor - Nominated by two nursing mothers for offering a supportive workplace environment for breastfeeding employees Public Health: Central Michigan District Health Department - for their willingness to pilot the “Babies at Work” program Health Care Community: Linda Rodriguez, RN IBCLC - Lactation Consultant at Sinai Grace Hospital, Linda has offered a weekly support group since 2007 and has been very instrumental in the feeding choices and breastfeeding duration of many mothers in Detroit Community: Keleigh Lee, MS, LLLL, IBCLC - for her volunteer work with Washtenaw Co. WIC, LaLeche League, and the Washtenaw Co. Breastfeeding Coalition Health Care Provider: Timothy J Tobolic, MD Public Health: The Monroe Co.
