Welcome

Your Statewide Coalition of Breastfeeding Advocates and Lactation Specialists

We invite you to work collaboratively with us to create breastfeeding-friendly communities throughout Michigan.

Mission Statement

The Michigan Breastfeeding Network recognizes human milk as the norm for infant feeding. Our mission is to promote, protect and support breastfeeding as a vital part of the health and development of children, their families, and the community.

We will accomplish our mission by providing networking opportunities for groups and individuals working with breastfeeding mothers in Michigan advocating on behalf of breastfeeding mothers, babies and families.

LATEST NEWS:

Our next quarterly meeting will be held March 21st in Detroit, Michigan.  Check out the Join Us page or our Facebook event page for more information.

Do you know of an individual, coalition, or organization that deserves recognition for their promotion, protection, and support of breastfeeding? If so, nominate them for a 2012 Breastfeeding Award from the Michigan Breastfeeding Network.  Download a nomination form and submit by May 7, 2012.  Help spread the word about this special recognition by downloading a flyer to post or send to others.  Help recognize breastfeeding advocates in Michigan who are working to make the healthy choice the easy choice!
